  • Flexibility: three days in the office, two remote, sometimes travelling to a foreign location (Poland, shared services), once a month

POSITION

As Senior Group Controller, you are responsible for the group’s consolidated financial reporting and control processes. You ensure high-quality reporting standards (IFRS), coordinate the global monthly closing process, and manage complex accounting and tax matters. Together with your team, you oversee statutory reporting across multiple entities and act as a sparring partner for local finance teams and Group CFO.

You lead and develop a small international team of professionals and work closely with external auditors, tax advisors and internal stakeholders. Beyond reporting, you contribute to strategic projects such as system improvements, M&A integrations, and process optimizations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Group Financial Control team
  • Oversee accounts, ledgers and reporting systems and ensure compliance with Dutch GAAP and other financial regulation
  • Maintain and improve the consolidation and reporting systems
  • Act as business partner to the CFO and local finance teams
  • Consolidate accounting across all entities and manage cash flows and forecasts
  • Manage project-based and departmental accounting, including foreign exchange and transfer pricing
  • Optimize accounting systems and processes and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Coordinate audits and work with external auditors to ensure compliance
  • Advise management on financial strategy, risks and optimization opportunities
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, budget forecasts and cash flow statements
  • Identify and perform analysis around business initiatives, new products and services
  • Support the implementation of CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive)
  • Lead the accounting shared service team: recruitment, training and coaching
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management, external partners and stakeholders

PROFILE

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in finance, ideally in international environments
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS and complex consolidation processes
  • Experience in managing and developing a team
  • Fluent in English; Dutch or other languages are a plus
  • Experience with ERP and consolidation systems (e.g. SAP, OneStream)
  • Proactive, hands-on, and able to operate at both strategic and operational levels
