TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Approx. €95,000 including vacation allowance
- 13th-month salary and a 15% bonus plan
- 25 vacation days + 13 reduction-of-working-hours (ADV) days

- Accountable for all accounting across the Benelux organisation: further professionalising the accounting function end-to-end, leading and developing the team, and safeguarding effective collaboration with the shared service centres (Sri Lanka and Lithuania) and headquarters (London)
POSITION
The Finance Manager is responsible for the complete accounting of the BMI Benelux organisation, which is in transition. You will lead a team of four professionals, including two strong senior accountants. In this role, you not only provide stability within the team and the accounting processes, you also take a proactive role in improving and professionalising the finance organisation. You act as the connecting link between the international shared service centres and the local organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach and motivate the local accounting team, consisting of payroll, accounts receivable and general accounting (four people in total)
- Ensure timely, accurate period-end closes (monthly, quarterly, annual) and deliver high-quality reports for controllers, management and the board
- Coordinate and connect colleagues from the international shared service centres (Sri Lanka and Lithuania/Vilnius) with the local organisation in Montfoort to ensure a complete and accurate ledger
- Act as sparring partner for Group Accounting and Group Tax (including transfer pricing)
- Prepare and coordinate statutory financial statements and audits for the Dutch and Belgian entities in collaboration with external auditors
- Prepare tax returns for the Dutch and Belgian entities
- Coordinate and continuously improve daily processes across the organisation
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and oversee (the execution of) payments
- Optimise working capital and cash flow
PROFILE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy (or similar) and substantial experience as an Accounting Manager or Finance Manager in an international organisation (a start in public audit/accountancy is a plus)
- An accounting expert who thrives in a dynamic setting and enjoys optimising and professionalising the finance function
- A people manager who empowers others and, when needed, is willing to roll up their sleeves in the operation
- Combines a hands-on mentality with strong results focus; operates autonomously and is, at heart, a seasoned accounting professional
