- A broad role for an experienced finance professional familiar with all aspects of finance, from accounting to (financial/business) control, within investor-led companies, who can (continue to) build and professionalize the back office of a fast-growing scale-up company
- Right hand to the CFO who is fully committed to the strategy and expansion of the company. You closely work together to always have the financial organization fully in control. You provide the board and the investor with management information and insights into performances and KPIs
Position
The financial director is responsible for the entire finance organization. Therefore, this professional manages a (currently small) team. As the organization continues to grow, operational tasks become fewer, and management and complexity will grow along.
TAKS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
- Responsible for accurate accounting and a strong AO/IC (-manual). Have perform periodic closings (monthly, quarterly and annually) and prepare the annual accounts, maintains contacts with the external accountant.
- Manage and have perform group and financial controlling, complex reporting and accounting (currently one person). Ensure adequate planning & control cycle, checks & balances, reports, analyses, profit and loss account, budgeting and multi-year plans
- Set up (and manage) FP&A, business control, and BI, capable of solid data analysis to support the organization with relevant information. Provide (financial) reports, presentations, and board packs and sound insights (management information) for both internal and external stakeholders. Be the sparring partner for the interpretation of data. Currently an FP&A manager is recruited to support this function within KevlinX
- Monitor and facilitate the realization of business plans and budgets of the various departments and the projects regarding new datacenters
- Provides advice and adjusts where necessary if financial information gives reason to do so, supports strategic decisions that ensure that the constant growth and market position of the company is guaranteed, also determines the KPIs for this purpose
- Preparing KevlinX for further major growth in every way: processes, people, and systems, including recruitment and implementing new ERP, BI, or IT tooling. Currently, the company is to start a process of evaluating, selecting and implementing a new financial system. The finance director is expected to be closely involved in this process
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions to ensure monitoring of credit lines and compliance with bank covenants
- Making a cash planning and forecast, reporting on cash status towards board and investors
Profile
- Completed academic degree in business economics or finance, possibly followed by a postdoctoral degree (CMA, RA, RC, CPA, CA)
- Business-oriented financial professional with broad experience as a Financial Manager or Director in a fast-paced organization
- Experience within the data center sector or any other adjacent/relevant business such as telecom, IT/MSP or fiberglass, is a must
- Experience capital intensive businesses
- Strong knowledge of financial management and accounting combined with a strong business sense. Assists the business from a financial perspective in creative ways to become more successful. A firm, sensitive conversation partner with flair, who challenges others and provides both solicited and unsolicited advice
- Currently working of having worked within a business that is held by private equity or external investors
- Energetic, progressive, and intelligent professional with a strong entrepreneurial drive.
- People manager with excellent communication skills, suitable for a growing environment leads growth in the right direction. Experience with M&A and/or financing issues is an advantage.

KevlinX is a fast-growing scale-up company active in the development, construction and operations of data centers. In the coming years, significant investments will be made in several international projects, increasing data center capacity in multiple European countries. There are two PE investors, including one of the largest infrastructure investors in the world, backing this interesting, future-oriented organization. Currently, KevlinX employs 20 people across 3 countries. The company is expected to grow significantly in headcount, CAPEX and revenue in the coming years, leading to increasing complexity.
