EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- Gross annual salary between €175,000 and €210,000, including holiday allowance

POSITION
Our client is a rapidly growing organization, both organically and through acquisitions, that is actively transitioning towards greater efficiency, professionalism, and a stronger business partnering approach. Major initiatives, including a new ERP implementation and organizational restructuring, are currently underway.
Within this dynamic environment, there is an opportunity for a CFO EMEA to step in. The EMEA region currently represents approximately half of the overall business. The CFO will be responsible for shaping a finance organization that enables the company to generate impact and add value through data-driven insights and financial analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of over 30 finance professionals across several countries within the EMEA region and guide the transformation towards a new cluster-based structure (5 clusters with smaller teams). Empower colleagues by emphasizing business partnership (commercial and business control). This may include recruiting and selecting new professionals and/or specific expertise as needed
- Drive business performance to realize growth ambitions and set a value creation agenda through finance business partnering skills, and building a business control/partnering finance organization. Setting the strategic agenda & direction as well as managing day-to-day operations
- Co-responsible for the reorganization of the finance function, including the establishment of shared services for operational finance transactions and the transfer of responsibilities and tasks
- Own all financial processes and responsibilities within the region. This includes further development of the planning & control cycle, financial analysis and reporting (financial control), cash flow management, working capital management, compliance & governance, taxation, insurance, treasury, and capital investment management
- Oversee and/or co-develop budgets and monitor performance, ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, guide the development of a data warehouse and business intelligence environment, and create dashboards with relevant steering and management information
- Collaborate with local teams to establish and strengthen business/commercial control, providing management with insights and recommendations to support performance and strategic decision-making
- Shape and foster strong collaboration with various group or holding functions such as Business Control, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Governance and Treasury — helping to define how these functions are best integrated and leveraged within the new organization
PROFILE
- Personality fit to the organizational culture: down to earth, hands-on, and get things done, humor & integrity, humble but ambitious
- Completed academic degree in Business Economics, complemented by a postgraduate qualification (MBA, ACCA, CFA, RC, RA)
- Extensive experience as a business-oriented Finance Director or CFO in an international commercial environment where the finance function required development; experience with matrix organizations and private equity is a plus
- Experience in b to b business within logistics/supply chain, and with working for private equity-driven organizations
- Combines strategic and analytical insight with a hands-on mentality and strong operational understanding; capable of leading the transition to a modern, efficient finance organization that enables business steering based on data and financial insights
- Experienced people manager with a proven track record of leading international teams; able to empower individuals and build teams aligned with the evolving organizational direction
- Independent, strong yet sensitive professional who takes ownership and consistently delivers results and objectives
- Strong affinity with IT/ERP, particularly in the further digitalization of finance processes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to unite central and local interests
- A communicative team player who aligns with a culture of collaboration, transparency, and agility
- Flexible and willing to travel internationally regularly (around 25% of the time)
